Music that Makes Community will be attending the Trifaith Initiative's annual Race, Religion, and Social Justice conference, "Art as Witness, Catalyst, and Calling," on June 11, 2026 at the Tri-Faith Center in Omaha, NE.

MMC Executive Director C. Onyx Li and Doe Hoyer from The Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery will be presenting a workshop called "Reckoning with the Doctrine of Discovery: How Our Sacred Songs Can Move Us Toward Indigenous Solidarity." It is about the Sacred Lands Project partnership, a collection of paperless, aural tradition songs for community singing intended to inspire and compel communities of faith to organize alongside Indigenous communities.
