Join us for a Community SING to experience paperless singing! Music that Makes Community staff and friends will offer a lively evening of singing, sharing, and community building on Thursday evening, June 11, from 7-8:30 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska.
When we sing together, we experience connection with one other and with something larger than our individual selves — whether it’s community or the sacred. Join us as we make music together using paperless songs from many musical and spiritual traditions. Bring a willingness to make a joyful noise and friends who love to sing.
No special talents required - just a love of music and fellowship. Singers of all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels are warmly welcomed to participate!
Song leaders for the evening are MMC Executive Director C. Onyx Li, fellow song leader Doe Hoyer from The Coalition to Dismantle the Doctrine of Discovery, and local guests.
Admission
A free-will offering will be collected, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds. The suggested donation is $5-20 per person. Contributions support the nonprofit work of Music that Makes Community.
RSVP here to let us know you’re planning to attend and make a donation ahead of time. Come anyway if you didn’t RSVP!

The church has ample and accessible parking, with an elevator to help those who park in the lower parking lot easily access the church and navigate to the sanctuary level. Anyone traveling via bicycle is welcome to park their bike in the fellowship hall. There is also one ADA restroom and two re-purposed stalls in the women's restroom to assist those who are less ambulatory.
