The Episcopal Mission in Sunnyside (Queens, NYC) is a new, progressive community of Christian practice in the beautifully diverse neighborhood of Sunnyside, Queens. For the last year we have been in a season of experimentation and exploration, and we are preparing for a public launch this September.

As we prepare for this launch, we are seeking a creative and collaborative musician to help cultivate immersive, participatory, and embodied spiritual experiences. We are looking for someone who will use sound and music to help this emergent community cultivate a “thin place”—a place where we become porous to the mysterious presence of a gracious, fellow-suffering God

We're calling this position "Music Director / Worship Leader / Remixer of Sacred Music." This is a part-time, salaried position (average 8-10 hrs. per week): We're able to offer ~$25,000 / year — commensurate with experience and skill set. (And open to negotiation.) The position includes 2 weeks paid vacation time, including 3 Sundays. More information can be found here.
Applications can be sent to Fr. Carl Adair at [email protected].

St. James Episcopal Church in Taos, NM seeks a part-time Minister of Music to lead our strong, experienced adult choir (currently 18-24 volunteers) and grow a vibrant, intergenerational music ministry.

The Music Minister collaborates with the Rector to plan music for worship, conducts mid-week rehearsals, directs the choir at our 10:30 service on Sunday, and provides music during Holy Week, Christmas, and for special services throughout the year. We prefer a Music Minister who is both a talented organist/accompanist and choral director but are open to splitting the position and hiring a separate accompanist if necessary. Above all we seek a gifted teacher with pastoral sensibilities who approaches church music as a ministry.
