Music that Makes Community will return to the beautiful and historic Christ Lutheran Church, May 14-16, 2014.
MMC workshops equip music directors, organists, clergy and lay leaders of the church to lead music effectively without the use of screens, hymnals or other printed materials. Offering participants ample opportunity to practice leading music, we'll also spend time in worship, conversation and experimentation with improvisation and composition.
Designed by the Finnish-American architects Eliel Saarinen and Eero Saarinen and dedicated in 1949, Christ Lutheran is a National Historic Landmark. It is a breathtaking space to worship and work in, and home to a kind, intelligent congregation who hosted one of the most successful MMC events ever in March of 2012.
