For the second year in a row, Music That Makes Community is excited to host a Lent/Holy Week Music Test Kitchen at St. Lydia's on Saturday, February 4 from 10 am to 1 pm.
We'll reflect together on the season, explore Lenten/Holy Week scripture and prayers through music, and we'll workshop your ideas - liturgy in process, unsung or new tunes, and other worship expressions that you want to try within a supportive, gracious community of learners. The session will be facilitated by MMC presenter Jake Slichter, an inspiring pedagogue and musician.
And, it wouldn't be a test kitchen if we didn't enjoy great coffee and pastries from a local Gowanus bakery.
St. Lydia's is located at 304 Bond Street in Brooklyn, NY. The storefront space is an eight minute walk from the Union Street stop on the R and a six minute walk from the Carroll Street stop on the F/G. The space is fully wheelchair accessible, with an accessible bathroom and a ramp at the front door.
