How have you and your community been affected by racism and privilege? How do you talk about it? Do you have the skills to have conversations in your community across differences?

Workshop Description:
The workshop will focus on active listening skills
as well as how to engage in effective communications across cultural lines. We’ll engage in spiritual practice, and explore our capacities as gatekeepers in our communities.

This workshop is important for anyone working with congregations, communities, and schools and is essential for anyone interested in healing racism and reconciliation work. Teams are encouraged to attend, as are commuters! All with a heart for healing and reconciliation are welcome. There will be much singing.

About the Facilitator:
Ana Hernandez is a workshop facilitator, author, and  composer/arranger working across the country (often in the Episcopal Church), focusing on participatory democracy, deep listening, dismantling racism, and reminding us all that we are beloved of God.
