Join us for a Community SING and experience paperless singing! Experienced Music that Makes Community presenters, ELCA pastor the Rev. Liesl Spitz, Executive Director Conie Borchardt, and others will offer a lively evening of singing, learning, and community building on Friday evening, October 11, from 7-9:30 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
No special talents required - just a love of music and fellowship. Singers of all backgrounds, ages, and experience levels are warmly welcomed to participate!
This event is the first half of a weekend residency MMC is doing with The Lay School of Ministry, Northwest Synod of Wisconsin (ELCA) as part of their monthly series on Building Communities of Mutual Care. The residency concludes on Saturday morning, October 12 with a morning long workshop (link) that introduces the leadership practices and repertoire of Music that Makes Community. The workshop's intention is to support the creation of spaces of trust, listening, and communication through singing and to introduce the basic skills for leading congregational song.
