Music that Makes Community facilitators from across the continent gathered via Zoom for a Facilitator Playlist Party on March 30th around the theme of Easter and Joy. We spent time connecting, singing, sharing songs, and learning more about what MMC is up to in this season. Here are some of the songs we sang:

- the idea of Songleaders as Collaborative Ritual ArtistsWe also shared stories from our current contexts. We learned about Barbara Cates’ plan to begin a song circle called “Singing to Save Our Lives.” Nancy Willbanks shared her new experience with Boston Interfaith Song Collective. They are planning more events soon. Breen Sipes told a story about a woman living alone on a farm in rural southern Nebraska who wants to use the song God Will Meet Us Here (Holy Ground) from that morning’s worship to combat isolation as she walks the fields of her land.
Facilitators will be gathering after Easter to share Song of Justice. Look forward to that next blog soon!
