Join clergy, musicians, and lay leaders for a One-Day Paperless Music Workshop at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wheaton, Illinois! The event is the last in a series celebrating the birth of the Church at Pentecost and helping encourage and inspire congregational singing in faith communities around the Chicago area.
We'll gather on Saturday, June 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day of singing and learning together. Presenters Cricket Cooper, Hilary Donaldsen, Charles Murphy, and Paul Vasile will explore the basics of paperless music leadership, share songs and leadership practices that can enrich your community's musical life, and reflect on strategies for cultivating participatory singing and liturgy. The event is child friendly and invites opportunities for intergenerational learning but childcare is available upon request.
There will be two tracks: Paperless Singing 101 and an advanced techniques/song sharing track for returning participants.
Cost: $50
Refreshments, a light lunch, and workshop materials are included.
Discounts are available for students, seminarians and seniors. Contact Paul Vasile in the MMC office to learn more.
This event is supported, in part, by a grant from Immanuel Lutheran Church of Chicago.
