All are welcome to attend a Music That Makes Community Skill-Building Day on Saturday, June 2. We'll be hosted by St. Michael's Episcopal Church on the Upper West Side and enjoy a half day of worship, reflection, and break-out groups focused on skill building for song leaders at every level.

Find inspiration for your community's worship life, learn and create new songs, and practice leading and improvising in a supportive setting. Afternoon breakout sessions will include:

  • Composing new music, with a special focus on music for justice and resistance work;
  • Paperless Song Leadership 101;
  • Understanding the rhythmic structure of a song and developing your sense of timing.

Individual Registration Fee: $40

A light lunch and workshop materials are included.

Scholarships are available for students, seminarians, seniors, and congregations with limited financial resources. Contact Paul Vasile in the MMC office to learn more.
