Music that Makes Community at Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago

Music that Makes Community is excited to return to Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago for an intensive music workshop from October 10-12, 2019. An inspiring team of MtMC presenters will lead worship, plenaries, small groups, and reflection to help you add the valuable tool of paperless leading to your community’s singing practice. Learn practical skills and diverse repertoire, and explore how paperless music can strengthen and enrich worship and community life.

The event begins with dinner at 6 p.m. on Thursday and ends with Eucharist at 4 p.m. on Saturday. The schedule offers optional evening activities to support the participation of local commuters.

Individual Registration Rate: $375
Duo Registration Rate: $700 (Two individuals from the same congregation/community)

The rate covers lunch on Friday and Saturday, dinner on Thursday and Friday, as well as all workshop materials. Reduced workshop accommodation rates will be available at a nearby hotel; Airbnb options are also plentiful in the area.

RSVP below to receive a registration link when the event is live!

The workshop is generously supported by LSTC and discounted rates are available for students, faculty and alumni. Scholarships are also available for individuals and faith communities with limited resources and seniors. Contact Paul Vasile in the MtMC office to learn more.
