AnnaMarie Hoos
Location: currently a wanderer
AnnaMarie is entering seminary in the Episcopal tradition in the fall of 2016. Until recently, she was the Congregational Communications and Program Manager at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco and a member of St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church. She first learned to shape and lead worship while working for the Iona Community in Scotland, and discovered the freedom and beauty of "paperless" music there. She has been an Associate of the Iona Community since 1998.
At Grace Cathedral, AnnaMarie planned liturgy and led music for their Sunday evening Contemplative Eucharist on the Labyrinth for several years. At St. Gregory’s, AnnaMarie has been part of the team shaping and leading the “Supper Service”, a paperless evening Eucharist that emphasizes inter-generational participation and supports children in leading worship. In the diocese, AnnaMarie has led music at Deanery convocations and diocesan training days. After participating in several Music That Makes Community workshops she has joined their team of leaders and teachers.
