Join us for a day of Building Beloved Community: Through Singing & Studying Dr. King's Nonviolence on Saturday, October 19 on Massachusetts' beautiful Cape! Music that Makes Community presenters Nehemiah Luckett and Conie Borchardt, MMC's new Executive Director, will offer an afternoon of paperless communal singing and conversation exploring how singing together can create connection, courage, and change at Dennis Union Church from 1-4 p.m.
MMC's participatory afternoon presentation is part of a daylong symposium on the topic of Building Beloved Community. The morning presentation will be offered by staff of the Connecticut Center for Nonviolence, an organization that empowers communities to reconcile conflict and build coalitions through the philosophy and practices of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement.
Register by calling the church office at 508-385-3543.
Lunch will be provided.
